Initial Impressions

Limitations and Issues

While MarsEdit 5 has its strengths, it's not without limitations. For instance, when clicking 'Download Template' to fetch MacStories' WordPress theme, the app triggered a Twitter plug-in, which sent a tweet with placeholder text. This was easily fixed by limiting the number of posts requested.

Additionally, our server interpreted the sudden volume of requests as a security threat and terminated the connection to MarsEdit. This issue may be site-specific, but it highlights the importance of careful configuration.
